Music Selection - General Information

How many song titles do you own?
To be completely honest, I don't know the exact number. After passing the 16,000 mark, I lost track. I can proudly say that my library is 100% CD and 100% Legal. I do NOT duplicate CDs, use mini-discs, or pirate MP3 song collections.

Why are some song titles repeated more than once?
It is not uncommon to have multiple copies of a particular song title, especially the popular ones. Since the database does not discern between song titles that may be on more than one CD in my collection, you will sometimes see a title repeated more than once in a search.

How many categories is your music collection broken down into?
Well, I have over forty categories listed. The categories are not 100% accurate and sometimes I use reference materials to help me sort song titles into particular categories. In addition, I will sometimes lump a couple categories into ONE category. For example, if you pull up the motown category, you will find a number of song titles that would fit under a R&B category. I am always open to feedback to improve my music section.

Will your music library get any bigger?
Yes. Unlike some mobile DJ's, I keep up with current pop and country music. If you're hearing a song today on Top 40 pop or country radio, I probably have it. I subscribe to a private music supply service that is available only to radio stations and DJ's. This service provides me with a monthly CD shipment of all the new hit songs being played on radio stations like 107.9 The Link, Kiss 95.1, WPEG 98, Kat Country 96.9, Lite 102.9, and so on.

Do you have what I want?
Maybe. In the case of ethnic, obscure, and specialized music, if I don't have it and you do, I am delighted to play songs from your CDs and return them to you after the event. Please note that I am always trying to update and polish up my music categories in order to make it easier for you to find what you are looking for. I will sometimes invest in additional music that is not necessarily current, because of multiple requests from clients or for simple necessity.
